Conway Cruiser Folding camper/trailer tent. Looks like early 90s but I don’t really know that much about these things. And it’s in really good condition for its age with no signs of damp or stains. This has been a great and cheap method of holidaying for us but with a toddler wanting to crawl about, we’re ‘downgrading’ to a large tent so she can’t fall off anything! The main part goes up in 15 minutes and the awning’s great for longer holidays to create more space. The awning can be a bit fiddly but is straightforward enough for 2 people to put up. Comes with all necessary items, including a gas cylinder and some utensils. It is in good working order, relatively light and easy to tow, 3 good tyres and brakes work well. It’s also easy to move around by hand so you can ‘fine tune’ your position either on your drive or your plot. There are of course some bad points to anything this old which I’ve tried to list below. I’m sure there are more but nothing substantial I can think of at the moment. I’ll update the listing if I find anything else. Bad Points: Slight hole in roof of canvas caused by an incorrectly placed clip. Repaired and waterproof Stitching coming apart in one of the bedroom pods. This didn’t cause a leak and has been taped with waterproof greenhouse tape to stop it getting any worse. You can’t see it once the inner for the bedroom is hooked up anyway so we were never too bothered about it. The 3 way fridge doesn’t work on gas. I could never get the pilot to light. This may be an easy fix to someone with more knowledge but we always used mains electricity or the battery so again, we weren’t bothered by it. Stitching around the door zip is coming apart slightly. This has never got worse so we didn’t try to fix it but it’s below the line of the solid door anyway so doesn’t let water in. Solid part of the door doesn’t lock. This is purely academic because when the camper is up, you only have to reach in the tent to open the door anyway! Not really sure why they’d bother putting a lock on the door at all! The first photo is of it up on our most recent excursion to Cornwall. It was blowing 50mph gusts that night and we survived (just!). The other photos should give a fair reflection of the condition although it was just put up on the driveway, hence the slightly creased look!
